Summer
Celebration Parade
For ten years the Windy City Miata Club has participated in
the Streamwood Summer Celebration Parade. Once again we have been invited back
to join in the festivities.
This year’s theme: “Great
American Heroes”
If you choose to decorate your car, please observe the parade
theme by using suitable decorations. Don’t forget to bring candy, the parade
route will be lined from end to end with kids.

Line up is 10:00 AM
Streamwood Blvd East of Bartlett Rd
Streamwood
Parade step-off is 10:30 AM
Take the Elgin/O’Hare Expressway from I-290/53
Go west until it ends at Hwy 20
Turn right and go to Bartlett
Road (6th light)
Turn right and go to the 2nd
light (Streamwood Blvd).
After the parade everyone is
invited to visit the Streamwood Summer Celebration food tent which is located at
the end of the parade route. I have made special arrangements for parking at the
Streamwood Fire Station. From there we can walk to the tent. All types of food
and beverages will be available along with seating under the tent. There will be
arts and craft vendors, entertainment and a business expo where you can register
for free prizes.
I will need a count of the number of cars in the parade for
the coordinators.

For those that may be interested, LaVerne and I will be
performing on stage at 4:00 PM in the talent show. At 7:30 the band ARRA will be
performing. If you liked Journey you will love this group, they are outstanding.
There will also be fireworks at 9:30.
