Autocross #8 Results

Windy City's last autocross brought 19 drivers up to Wisconsin's Case High School. Going into the last event, Rock Yarrington and Dan Baker were still fighting for first place in the Stock Experienced class while most of the other positions in the other classes were pretty much settled. Sal Leonardi decided it was Indycar time, so he designed a figure 8 for this race.

All autocrosses start with a healthy walk. Here we see the Windy City people heading into the first turn. It's faster in a miata. Sal took first place this day, but his best time doesn't show in the standings below. That happened when a spectator in a Mustang walked up and talked Sal into taking him for a ride. Showing off, again Sal? .... Jorge Andujar finished the year with another good day. Jason Powell showed that he is going to be one of the leaders next year as he wound up in the top 3 in only his third auto-cross. Maggie and Mark Mirkov brought both their miatas on the long drive up from Lansing. We had one non-miata, an Acura Integra driven by Jason's friend Wayne Lee. Meanwhile, Rock did beat Dan this day, but Dan kept just enough points to keep first place in SE.
