The Utica Enduro Day lived up to its name. The concept is ten laps around the Utica course, with one try in the morning and a second try in the afternoon. It sounds fairly simple, but many of the drivers were surprised at the extra concentration needed to drive at speed for ten laps instead of two. The weather added another variable, in that it was constantly changing between a steady drizzle and periods of partial sun. So the track conditions ranged from pools of standing water to almost dry with some slippery patches.
Fifteen miatas showed up. They all got wet, so don't believe any of the people on this page if you ever see them post a classified ad for a miata that "has never seen rain". We did all have some good rollicking fun though. Those drivers who had to run while it was raining may have had more fun than others, although their times weren't helped by the poor traction. There were some really spectacular spinouts.
Here are the times. This event probably won't count in the final standings.
