Autocross #2 Results May 15, 1999 Utica

This year's first autox at Utica brought in 36 entries, including nine non-miatas. Here's an X-class car for the X-files. -your web editor..

Our second autocross was at Utica on Sunday, May 15th. The skies were overcast, but the rain stayed away until the very end.

We ran the course with a slalom between turns 1 and 2, which made for some interesting action.

Winners were Rock Yarrington (class A), Uve Jerzy (B), Mark Bohanon (C), Jason Powell (D), Sal Leonardi (M), and Trevor Sadler (X). First-time Miata entrants included Arthur Eckert and Mike Gervais. There were also several non-Miatae, including WCMC member Trevor Sadler, whose Miata was totaled a week ago.

Our next autocross will be back at Utica (Bennett Kartway) on July 3rd. We also have back-to-back events at Racine (Case HS) on July 24th and 25th. You can reserve a room at the special Miata Club rate of $51.26 (plus tax) by calling the Knights Inn at 414-886-6667.
